BERLIN FASHION WEEK JANUARY 2020
When I was younger, I always dreamed of being invited to Fashion Week. Anyways, it didn´t feel unreal to be there. Neither the first time (about which you can read more here), not this one. It was just a really nice girlstrip with Chrissy (she´ll hate me for spelling her nickname like this) and Alizia.
Als ich jünger war – so 14-16 vielleicht -, war es immer ein Traum von mir einmal auf der Fashion Week eingeladen zu sein. Trotzdem fühlte es sich nicht unreal an da zu sein. Nicht das erste Mal (über das ihr hier mehr lesen könnt) und auch nicht dieses Mal. Es war einfach ein wunderschöner Girlstrip mit Chrissy (sie hasst mich dafür, dass ich ihren Spitznamen so schreibe) & Alizia.

WHERE WE STAYED:
We booked a really nice, little appartement next to Alexanderplatz. It was actually a bit too small for three people, but we booked it only for Christine and me in the first place and Alizia spontaneously joined in. So it was foreseable that it would be small. On the other hand it was REALLY cheap that way, hence it would also have been if only the two of us would have shared it 😀 I´ll link it down for you here.
Wir hatten uns ein kleines Appartement nah am Alexanderplatz gebucht. Mit wir meine ich Chrissy und mich, Alizia hat nämlich recht spontan beschlossen mitzukommen, sodass wir uns einfach eine Matratze ausgeliehen haben und sie auf dem Boden geschlafen hat. Dementsprechend eng war es dann auch :D:
Ich kann das Appartement aber wegen der Lage, dem Preis und der Ausstattung trotzdem sehr empfehlen und verlinke es euch hier einmal.
HIGHLIGHT 1: MARCEL OSTERTAG SHOW
Fashion shows the main aspect of Fashion Week and definitely what I love most. It´s the atmosphere, the locations, music, fashion that takes you into a different world. Marcel Ostertag is by far one of my favourite designers and also gave his show „memories“ a personal note by holding a little speech in the end, telling the audience about his memories, his thoughts with the collection. LOVED IT!
Fashion Shows sind der wohl wichtigste Teil der Fashion Week, ihr Ursprung und das, was ich am meisten liebe. Es ist die Atmosphäre, Location, Musik Mode – auf dem Laufsteg und davor, was die Shows so besonders macht. Ich glaube wirklich verstehen tut man das erst, wenn man es erlebt hat.
Marcel Ostertag ist definitiv einer meiner Lieblingsdesigner und hat seiner Show „Memories“ auch noch eine ganz besondere Note verliehen, indem er am Ende eine kleine Rede gehalten und das Publikum mit in seine Erinnerung, seine Inspiration genommen hat. LOVED IT!
HIGHLIGHT 2: REBEKKA RUETZ SHOW
I already told you that I love the fashion shows the most and like Marcel Ostertag Rebekka Ruetz is a great designer. Not as wearable as Ostertag, but still a gorgeous show and I loved the location.
Dass ich Shows liebe, habe ich ja schon erzählt. Auch, wenn die Rebekka Ruetz Kollektion nicht ganz so alltags tauglich ist, wie Marcel Ostertag, fand ich die Show toll! Insbesondere die Location hat ihr eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre verliehen und dass die Designerin am Ende mit Motorroller auf die Bühne fuhr, war einfach cool!
HIGHLIGHT 3: INSTYLE LOUNGE at Café Moskau
Besides the shows, there are always MANY blogger events at Fashion Week. You meet companies and bloggers from all over Germany. Connect, try products… We visited the Styleranking Café, Reichert+ Lounge, Hashmag Event, Beauty 2go Lounge and last but not least the Instyle Lounge.
It´s really hard to pick a favourite one, but if I had to, I think it would be Instyle Lounge. Relaxed atmosphere, nice people, cool brands, yummy snacks – that´s how I like my mornings.
I think the Styleranking Café might have been as nice, if only we weren´t running late and came when it was basically already over…
Neben den Shows gibt es unzählige Bloggerevents auf der Fashion Week. Wir waren beim Styleranking Café, Reichert+ Lounge, Hashmag Event, Beauty 2go Lounge und der Instyle Lounge. Aber was macht man auch solchen Events? Man unterhält sich mit Unternehmen, testet Produkte, trifft Blogger aus ganz Deutschland,…
Ich glaube wenn ich wählen müsste wäre die Instyle Lounge mein Favorit gewesen. Entspannte Atmosphäre, schöne Location, tolle Brands, nette Leute und gutes Essen – so darf jeder Morgen starten.
Das Styleranking Café war auch wirklich toll, wir waren nur leider etwas spät, sodass es schon fast vorbei war, als wir ankamen.
TAKING PICTURES & TIME WITH THE GIRLS
Since I attended the last Fashion Week on my own, I can definitely say that it is WAY more fun to have Fashion Week as a girlstrip. So Chrissy & Alizia were my secret highlight. Of course, it was stressful and we would sometimes be bitchy to each other, but we got along pretty well and had an awesome time.
In between the events, shows, pictures, we always went to take some pictures. I don´t think I´ll have to write much about that, I´ll just link down a file, that you can download. Install „map marker“ on your phone (it´s free) – unpaid advertisement-, insert the file and you can see the pictures directly linked to the locations 😉
Da ich zur Fashion Week im Sommer alleine gefahren bin, kann ich jetzt ein eindeutiges Fazit ziehen und sagen, dass es VIEL mehr Spaß macht daraus einen Girlstrip zu machen. Natürlich war es auch stressig und wir haben uns zwischendurch mal angezickt. Aber alles in allem sind wir super miteinander klargekommen und hatten einen Riesenspaß!
Früh am Morgen und zwischen den Events waren wir in der Regel Bilder machen. Ich glaube dazu muss ich gar nicht viel schreiben. Ich lade euch einfach mal eine Datei hoch, die ihr downloaden und in der App „Map Marker“ (ich werde für diese Werbung nicht bezahlt!) öffnen könnt. Dann habt ich all unsere Locations und Bilder parat 😉
EXTRA INFO: how to get to fashion week
Some of you asked me how to get to fashion week as a blogger. You need to be invited – it´s that simple. And if not? Just search for the press contact and ask them. Of course some might say it´s rude to invote oneself, but if you got a legit reasoning (nice pictures and a good following), why you want to visit the show / event, the agencies are usually happy to have you there.
Ich werde immer wieder gefragt, wie man als Fashionblogger auf die Fashion Week kommt. In der Regel wird man eingeladen. Und wenn nicht? Dann sucht man sich den Pressekontakt von dem Veranstalter des Events / der Show raus, die man gerne sehen möchte und fragt ganz lieb, ob sie einen da haben möchten. Manch einer würde vielleicht sagen es sei frech sich selbst einzuladen. Aber vielleicht sind die Agenturen / Veranstalter einfach noch nicht auf euch aufmerksam geworden und brauchen einen kleinen Anstoß 😉
