BERLIN FASHION WEEK

Guten Morgen aus Berlin. Ich liege noch im Bett, dachte mir aber ich fange diesen Blogpost zur Abwechslung mal vor dem Event an und ergänze ihn dann nach  jeder Veranstaltung (schaun wir mal, ob das klappt :P). Für mich geht´s gleich das erste Mal zur Fashionweek. Es stehen verschiedene Events, Shows und Parties an – ich bin gespannt und ihr seid natürlich dabei 😉

Good morning from sunny Berlin. I´m still in bed, but about to get up for some pretty exciting days – it´s time for Berlin Fashion Week. I use to write my posts after the event, but this time I thought it would be fun to start before and add all the details directly after every small event took place – well see how we´ll that´ll work.
(by now we all know it didn´t – sorry for the delay)

my look for the first day

VIP BEAUTY UND FASHIONLOUNGE – REICHERT +

Mein erstes Event am heutigen Tage: Die VIP Beauty und Fashionlounge. Ich wurde schon in der Einladung gebeten mich online für Termine einzutragen. Maniküre, Hairstyling, Pediküre – was mich sonst erwartet ? Keine Ahnung.

Was mich erwartete waren verschiedene Stände, an denen Marken ihre Produkte präsentierten. Chia Bowl (die zu Kale and Me gehören), Natural Mojo (die ihre Proteinpulver, Superfoods und Beautykapseln präsentierten) und Edeloptics.
An manchen Ständen konnte man sich Nägel- & Haare machen oder sogar die Lippen aufspritzen lassen.

Aber auch ein paar Fashionbrands waren vor Ort. Otto zum Beispiel, hat die Blogger mit Outfits für die folgenden Shows ausgestattet. Mein Outfit stand allerdings schon fest, sodass ich die Sachen nicht annehmen komme.
Dafür gab´s eine mega coole neue Jacke von den Mädels von Gurlscrime – ihr habt sie vielleicht schon das ein oder andere Mal in meiner Instagram-Story gesehen.

The first event for today: VIP Beauty- & Fashionlounge. I was asked to make appointments beforehand. Manicure, Hairstyling, Pedicure – what else I got to expect ? I honestly don´t know.

What I had to expect were different brands presenting their products. Chia Bowl (a partner company of Kale & Me), Natural Mojo (who presented proteinpowder, superfoods and beauty-capsules) & Edeloptics.
As you can already guess my the name „Beautylounge“ there were also many opportunities for beauty treatments. You could get your nails and hair done and even have your lips plumped.

I did not do any of that – not even what I had made appointments for beforehand, cause those appointments were a bit too .There were also some fashionbrands: Otto, for example provided clothes to wear for the shows at fashionweek. Unfortunately I already had my outfit complete and did not want to change it. So I did not get myself anything (even though I really fell in love with that yellow coat).
What I got was a pretty cool jacket by Gurlscrime which cou might have already seen on my Insta.

PANORAMA

Eine Modemesse, die etwas außerhalb auf dem Messegelände stattfand. Eingeladen war ich von Hailysfashion, mit denen ich bereits seit ein paar Monaten zusammenarbeite. Es war wirklich toll die Mädels einmal persönlich kennenzulernen. Natürlich waren auch noch viele viele andere Marken da. Man konnte quatschen, sich die neuen Kollektionen angucken, Kontakte austauschen.
Ich war jedoch zum größten Teil wegen Hailys da und habe sonst nur kurz mit den Mädels von Noisy May (einer Marke von der ich durch Zufall mal eine Jeans im Zalandooutlet gefunden hatte) und Dockers geredet.

A Fashion-fare that was located in the outer area of berlin. Haily´s – a brand I´ve been working with for quite a while – had invited me. It was really gorgeous to meet the girls in person after having written so many emails with them. Also their stand was really gorgeous (you had me at ice-cream 😉 ).
Of course there were also some other brands like Noisy May, Dockers or Na-kd.

MARC CAIN

changed for the Marc Cain Show in the evening, since I felt like I wanted to wear something more fashionable. So I stole my stepfathers suit.

Die Marc Cain Show – ich bin mir jetzt schon sicher, dass sie eines meiner Highlights bleiben wird.
Vom Champagnerempfang, über eine wunderschöne Show bis hin zu einer entspannten Afterhow-Party mit mehr Champagner, Risotto, Lachs und Waffeln, war es einfach perfekt!

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass eine Show mein Highlight wird, aber wie Michaela mir vorher schon sagte: die Atmosphäre hat etwas Magisches, das sich nicht wirklich beschreiben lässt.

The Marc Cain Fashionshow – I wouldn´t have guessed it before, but the show was definetely my highlight.
It was the the athmosphere, the whole event that was special from the begining to the end.

We were welcomed with champagne in arena were bicycle races usually take place and had some time to talk before we were seated.
The actual runway show was backed up with light effects and music – hard to descripe I honestly dont have word for how magically it felt.
After the show there were more drinks, salmon, Risotto and waffles.
I honestly loved every single part of it – did I mention that I met Caro Daur ?

HASHMAG BLOGGER LOUNGE

Das erste Event am Mittwochmorgen. Ich war wieder früh aufgestanden um vorher noch 2-3 Bilder zu machen. Um 10 ging es dann ganz in der Nähe vom Potsdamer Platz los. Das Event stand unter dem Motto Mermaid-bash und wie bei der Reichert+ Lounge waren verschiedene Marken da, die ihre Produkte präsentierten.
Es gab Prosecco von Scavi Ray, eine Candybar von Hitschler und verschiedene Angelspielchen. Rossmann war auch da und versorgte uns mit Schokolade, Nüssen und einem selbstdesignten Kochlöffel.
Bei Bijou Brigitte konnte man seine eigenen Ohrringe basteln – eine wirklich super süße Idee.
Leider wurde meine Goodiebag auf dem nächsten Event an der Garderobe verloren, sodass mein Kochlöffel, die enthaltene Meerjungfrauentasse und alle weiteren Goodies weg sind :/ alles was ich retten konnte war eine Powerbank von IdealOfSweden – die habe ich zwischendurch nämlich schon gebraucht :p

Day 2: I got up early again to take some pictures before heading to the Hashmag Lounge. I was welcomed by some pretty balloons – only the first items of the beautiful decoration that of course matched the theme: Mermaid Bash.
Again there wer different brand presenting their products: Prosecco by Scavy Ray, a canybar by Hitschler, some games,… Rossman was also represented and provided nuts, chocolate and oher sweets aka my breakfast 😛
Also you could design your own wooden spoon, which I absolutely LOVED !
Another one of my favourite activities was to design my own earrings with Bijou Brigitte – they honestly turned out SO cute!
Unforunately my Goodiebag was stolen at the cloackroom on another event later that day and my spoon was gone 🙁
The only Items I could save were the earrings and a powerank . I definetely needed it that day 😀

PREMIUM

Danach ging es für mich zu einer weiteren Messe, auf die ich von Freaky Nation eingeladen wurde. Wirklich umgesehen habe ich mich hier nicht, sondern nur kurz den Stand besucht, die neuen Produkte in Augenschein genommen & dann ging´s auch schon weiter zur Instyle Lounge.

After the Hashmag Lounge I went to a fare, to which freaky nation invited me. To be honest, I was didn´t really have a look around, since I was a little exhausted that time, so I went straight to their stand and had a look at their leather jackets. Did you see it in my story ? I definetely have a fave 😛

INSTYLE LOUNGE

Die Instyle Lounge war ein weiteres Highlight der Fashionweek. Wie bei den letzten beiden Lounges haben verschiedene Marken ihre Produkte vorgestellt. So durfte ich mir einige Teile bei Reserved aussuchen, die ihr schon in meiner Instagram-Story sehen konntet und demnächst wohl auch auf dem ein oder anderen Bild bewundern dürft :p

Auch Pandora war vor Ort und hat die neue König der Löwen Kollektion vorgestellt. Ich LIEBE König der Löwen und somit auch die neue Kollektion. Von dieser durften wir uns allerdings nichts aussuchen. Stattdessen gab es eine kleine bag mit unseren Initialen und König der Löwen Motiv – auch cool!

Der Grund aus dem ich die Lounge so gut fand war, dass ich endlich mal dazu kam mich in Ruhe zu unterhalten. Nicht nur mit den Brands, die auch auf den anderen Events natürlich sehr offen waren, sondern auch mit ein paar Bloggern.
Diese waren auf den vorherigen Events nämlich leider meistens eher gestresst als in Schnacklaune.
Das soll nicht bedeuten, dass die letzten Veranstaltungen mir nicht gefallen haben – es war eben ein kleiner Bonus 😉

After the Premium Fare I went to the Instyle Lounge, which was another fashionweek highlight. Again, there were different brands showing off their products. I was allowed to choose some pieces from reserved (omg- I absolutely loe that brand!).

Pandora presented their new Disney Collection – who doesn´t love The Lionking ?? *.* I am in love ! The pieces honestly turned out so gorgeous !

But the brands weren´t the (entire) reason I loved the Instyle Lounge so much. I was that finally there were some people who liked to talk instead of just rushing through – but that´s a topic you´ll find at the end of this article.

NEONYT

Die Neonyt ist eine Sustainability-Messe, auf die ich mich sehr gefreut hatte. Ich stehe komplett hinter dem Thema Sustainability und bin der Meinung, dass nachhaltige Marken sich viel mehr „in den normalen Markt“ integrieren müssen, da sie aktuell eher eine Randgruppe ansprechen – jedenfalls zum großen Teil. Deshalb war ich auch am meisten an dem Bloggerformat interessiert.
Dieses war um ehrlich zu sein aber nicht mein Ding, sodass ich die Messe schon nach wenigen Minuten verließ um meine Sachen zur Unterkunft zu bringen und mich für den Abend fertig zu machen.

The Neonyt-Sustainability- Fare was one I had really been looking forward to. I definetely think it´s SUCh an important topic that deserves much more attention. Brands that focus on sustainabilit should – in my opinion – focus more on adressing „normal“ people. And so far „normal“ unfortunately doesn´t mean sustainability is a priority.
So I was really interested in their „blogger corner“.
To be honest I was really disappointed and left the fare after only a couple of minutes.

BLOGGINGTALES ROOFTOP PARTY

Das für mich letzte Event der Fashionweek. Vielleicht erinnert der ein oder andere von euch sich daran, dass ich vergangenes Jahr Die Party war nicht das womit ich gerechnet habe, aber es war ein wunderschöner, gelungener Abschluss.

Last but not least: The Bloggingtales Party. Some of you might remember that an article of mine was published in the magazine about 8 months ago and I  felt honoured to be invited and meet the chef editor herself.
The paty itself wasn´t quite what I expected, but the perfect way to end fashionweek. The location was beautiful, there was live musik and I met some really nice girls with whom I talked all evening.

CONCLUSION, CRITICISM

Wie anfangs bereits erwähnt, war es seit Jahren mein Traum einmal zur Fashionweek zu gehen. Deshalb darf ein kleines Fazit zu meinen ersten Erfahrungen natürlich nicht fehlen.
Die Fashionweek war der Hammer und ich kann es kaum erwarten Anfang nächsten Jahres wieder hinzufahren. Was ich mitgenommen habe ? Nächstes Mal gibt´s ein Hotel mitten in der Stadt (natürlich sind die Events überall verteilt, aber zwischendurch wenigstens kurz ins Hotel zu können, wäre schön gewesen). Aber noch viel wichtiger: meeeerh Shows! Die Marc Cain Show hat mich – wie oben erwähnt – einfach umgehauen und ich würde mir im Januar so so gerne mehr Shows ansehen!
Aber auch ein bisschen Kritik darf nicht fehlen. Einen großen Manko gibt es nämlich doch. Und das sind die Blogger selbst, die einfach nur von Event zu Event rushed um möglichst viel mitzunehmen. Ich sage nicht dass alle es so machen und es gibt sicherlich auch viele, die wichtige Termine haben. Trotzdem bin ich der Meinung, dass man schon so 2-2,5 Stunden pro Event einplanen sollte um sich entspannt alles anzusehen und eben auch ein bisschen zu quatschen und zu Networken.

As I told you at the beginning: Fashionweek was something I always wanted to go to. It´s a huge step for me and I still feel so honoured to have been invited. That´s also the reason I don´t only want to share my scedule with you but also my very personal opinion.
Fashionweek was AMAZING and I´ll definetely be around in january. Also I took some advises with me, which I want to share with you.
I´ll definetely get myself a hotel in the centre. You don´t spend much time there, but it would have been amazing to be able to quickly go there, change, drop something off, ….
Also really want to watch more shows, since the Marc Cain Show impressed me so much. As I told you before: Highlight!
Despite all the glamour and excitement, I also want to share some criticism with you. Criticism not on the events, but the bloggers. So many just rush through them without really enjoying it and having time to talk. I think that´s such a pity, since the whole Fashionweek it rather about getting to know people and sharing our love for fashion, isn´t it ?
